Happy new year! It's my yearly appearance, since I was activated on the dawn of a new year, many many years ago. I also see that nobody else has cared to make an appearance here since; makes sense, considering our other hobbies, but still! I suppose I might as well have made this website my own...
Much to update, though! Our time in the former year has brought us quite far; we're almost done with college, we've gotten an internship that we work at, and in general things have changed! Our living situation not much, but as time creeps ever forward we can see more and more clearly the potential fruits of our labor!
The new job is perhaps the biggest point of interest; it's functionally an office job, and it's made us realize that we like assistant jobs far more than actual IT jobs. I'm sure the degree will still be handy, but it is funny ... all this effort, only to realize we'd love to do something completely unrelated! It's fine, though; I think this is the usual progression of things, anyways. Thus far, we'll have this job for at least the next semester; it's an internship, so getting out of college makes it problematic. I'd love to be fully hired afterwards, but that's if the higher ups will take me... Even if not, we at least know terminology for what we can look for next!
School is ending, headache as it is. A schism happened and made our lives a nightmare, having to fight new systems time and time again just to do what was automatic before. Still, we're stuck fighting systems once more; as much as I enjoy the old aesthetic of things, it does make it difficult when something already poorly communicated is clunky to boot! We've only got the final semester though, and it's slated to be a breeze; and right now, we're still on break, so we can mostly relax. I can, at least; we have things to do once the school's off break, but that's not until tomorrow!
What else... We've had fun at a party our body-sister hosted yesterday. Inevitably we didn't drink-- our body hates the taste, and recoils at the slightest sip-- but others did, and it was fun the whole way through. That's not my story to tell, though; Emissary was the one who handled that. They also won't tell it here, apperently, since clearly they don't have a page XP
We'll be ringing in the new year with family; corned beef and cabbage, as is tradition in the family, which we greatly enjoy. Outside of that, the world is our oyster; and I have no idea what I'm to do with it! I can only write so much, after all, and our attention span isn't so great as to tolerate sitting and tapping at code all day...
I suppose this is where I'll end this message; I'll figure out something else to do on my own time. May anyone who sees this have a wonderful year-- even if it's many years in the future!
